💡Week 7💡
figure 1. 1 Tlit-shift effect
- Double exposure is the process of combining several pictures. Making the design weird and emotive is the aim. Usually, they have silhouettes.
- 1. Using the Blur Gallery> Tlit-Shift Effect Filter.
This gives a double exposure photo some intriguing textures. You can accomplish this effect by dividing the window picture.

Blending modes is an experiemental process as it is hard to predict the results, more attempt need to be conducted to achieve an ideal design.
These are the catagories of blending modes.

There are some modes that are commonly used, which are Multiply, Screen, Overlay and Soft Light.
Surrealism versus Realism
Realism: Considers topics from the everyday, commonplace world that we refer to as "reality." It nearly always chooses a non-extraordinary and non-exotic theme and subject matter.
Surrealism: A cultural movement centred on the use of many artistic mediums to convey the ideas of the artists themselves.
It delves into the subconscious, focussing mostly on dream imagery and frequently seeking to warp the commonplace and what we take to be reality.
Insurrection resists reason. Surrealistic paintings with their peculiar juxtapositions and unusual imagery are influenced by dreams and the subconscious.
Guidelines for producing surrealist artworks:
- Scenes from dreams and symbolic pictures
- Strange, nonsensical pairings
- Strange combinations of commonplace items
- designs that are childish or primitive
💡Week 10💡
Regarding the TISDC 2024 Poster Competition, Mr. Fauzi provided a briefing. We have to use text, vector graphics, and photographs together to make a poster design composition.
Theme: Equality in Visual Design Categorisation
Format Size: A1 (300 dpi)
Tutorial
The ultimate result of this exercise is dependent on the correctness of the clipping mask.
A fast method for disguising character:
To access the Magic Wand, Quick Selection, and Object Selection tools, click W.
2. In the Option bar, select "Select Subject."
3. In the Option menu, select "Select and Mask."
Next, choose Overlay and modify Opacity under choose & Mask> View Mode> Select Overlay. To alter the mask, choose Refine Edge Tools, modify the brush's size and hardness, then brush the hair.
Practical
Project 2A: Exercise in Double Exposure:
For this activity, a few photographs were sent to us.
I follow the tutorial video to mask out the character.

Later I used adjustment layer to adjust the contrast of the photo.
Later, I put another elements inside.

Summary
Title: Speak up
The theme about this poster is gender equality and shows that women are always living under the standards of men. In my poster, I used irregular geometric shapes to show the male and female figures, and used abstract minimalist design to show the size of the male and the weakness of the female. In the background, I used half light gray and dark red to show that women have been living under the oppression of men although they have been given preferential policies and treatment in the society. For the design principle, I used the gestalt principle to separate the male head and arms (when two patterns are put together, the human eye will put them together. The contrast of shapes is used to show the oppressive nature of men and the brokenness of women. The only bright color used in the poster is white to show the male's eyes and the angle and movement of the eyes to emphasize the focus on the female.

REFLECTION
I have a rudimentary grasp of the double exposure effect and how it works, which has helped me throughout this endeavour. At first, the idea was simple, but as I worked on the exercise, I saw how much imagination was needed to create a double exposure picture that looked perfect. However, the poster design offered me a chance to develop my idea from the previous semester.
